It’s been a pretty amazing weekend. Other than photographing a really nice couple at a very enjoyable wedding, I received an e-mail from the States letting me know that I won first place in the recent WPJA competition.
The WPJA is an international body of wedding photojournalists. The competition standards within the WPJA are extremely high, with a panel of award-winning press photo-journalists from around the world as judges – so winning the ‘Getting Ready’ category is quite an achievement that I don’t mind admitting I’m delighted with.
